Most agencies oversell press releases. Here's the honest version.
A press release won't fix your rankings - anyone promising that hasn't read Google's guidelines. What it does do is put your announcement in front of search engines, AI assistants, and anyone checking whether your company is real. That's worth having, and it starts at $297.

What a press release does and what it doesn't.
The press release industry has a credibility problem, mostly because it promises SEO outcomes it can't deliver. We'd rather tell you what you're buying.
- Creates indexed brand mentions. Your company name, what you do, and your announcement, published on sites search engines crawl frequently.
- Feeds AI search systems. ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews build their picture of a company from what's published about it. More corroborating sources, clearer entity.
- Fills your branded search results. When a prospect Googles your company before a call, coverage is what they find instead of nothing.
- Gives you something to point at. In a pitch deck, an email signature, or an about page. Third-party publication reads differently from self-description.
- Drives some referral traffic. Modest, but real, and it arrives already interested.
- Pass link equity. Google requires press release links to be marked nofollow or sponsored. Anyone selling you "high-authority backlinks" from a press release is describing something that doesn't happen.
- Raise domain authority. DA is a third-party metric, and press release links don't move it. This is the most common claim in the category and it isn't true.
- Get you editorial coverage. Syndication places your release in the press-release sections of partner sites. That's different from a journalist writing about you, and we won't pretend otherwise.
- Generate leads on its own. A release is a credibility asset, not a lead channel. If you need pipeline, that's paid search or SEO.
- Work as a one-off miracle. One release is a data point. A pattern of coverage over a year is what actually shifts how a company is perceived.
So why do it? Because $297 for a professionally written announcement, published across 300+ sites, that permanently occupies your branded search results and teaches AI systems who you are - is cheap. It's just not the thing most agencies claim it is.

Nine announcements that earn a release.
The test is simple: would someone outside your company find this worth knowing? If not, we'll help you find a better angle rather than publishing something nobody reads.
Four steps. Published inside two weeks.
The live page describes seven steps. In practice it's four, and you're only involved in one of them.
Find the story
You tell us the announcement. If it isn't newsworthy as stated, we'll say so and find an angle that is - that conversation is part of the price.

How much does a press release cost?
A single written and syndicated release is $297, one-time. That covers writing, your revisions, editorial compliance, distribution across 300+ network sites, and a full placement report. Ongoing programmes with journalist outreach and multimedia are quoted individually.
Will this improve my Google rankings?
Not directly, and we'd rather say so plainly. Google requires press release links to be marked nofollow or sponsored, which means they don't pass ranking signals. What a release does do is create indexed brand mentions, occupy your branded search results, and give AI systems corroborating sources about your company. If ranking is the goal, that's SEO, and it's a different engagement.
Where exactly does it get published?
Across a syndication network of 300+ news and media sites, which includes affiliate and partner outlets of major networks. To be precise about what that means: your release appears in those sites' press-release sections, not as an article a journalist wrote. Placement lists vary by release, and you get every live URL in your report.
Can I say "as seen on" afterwards?
Be careful here. Syndicated placement isn't editorial coverage, and implying a major outlet chose to cover you when it syndicated your paid release is the kind of claim the FTC has acted on. "Featured in" alongside the actual publication name is defensible. A wall of network logos suggesting editorial endorsement isn't. We'll tell you what your specific placements support.
What if my news isn't very newsworthy?
Most announcements aren't, as stated. Finding the angle that is - the data point, the timing, the wider trend your news sits inside - is the part that takes skill, and it's included. If we genuinely can't find one, we'll tell you to wait rather than take your money for something nobody will read.
How long does it take?
Draft within 2–5 business days. Once you approve, publication follows within 48–72 hours. The variable is how quickly you turn around the review, since nothing is distributed before you sign off.
Do I write anything?
No. You tell us the announcement in a few sentences or on a short call and we write it. You read the draft, request changes, and approve. That's the whole of your involvement.
Is one release enough?
For a specific announcement you want on the record, yes. For changing how your company is perceived, no - that's a pattern of coverage over time, which is what the ongoing programme is for. Plenty of clients start with one and decide from there.
Got something worth announcing?
Tell us what it is. If there's a story in it, we'll have a draft with you inside a week and if there isn't, we'll tell you that instead.
