Undesirable Business Practices Google Ads Suspended

Even since the pandemic has replaced brick-and-mortar businesses with online shopping, many businesses have turned up to Google Ads for capitalizing on the online presence of their products and services. After all, they are getting almost 200% return on their investment with Google Ads.

Being aware of Google Ads rules and policies is essential as any violation can suspend your account, harming your business sales. One of the most common reasons why users lose their Google Ads account is the usage of undesirable business practices.

Let’s get to know what these practices are, and why you should avoid them. So, here we go!!

What are unacceptable business practices on Google Ad?

Google Ad is known for maintaining the standards of the products and services on its platform. It has prohibited some undesirable business practices on its platform which poses significant harm to the customers. These practices are:

  • Concealing or misstating information about your business, product, or services

If you try to scam your customers by providing wrong information about your business, product, or services, you would invite a ban on your ad account. Never impersonate any brand or business by altering the brand content in your ads and URL.

Google deals with cases of misrepresentation strictly. Therefore, users should not misrepresent their brand while interacting with the client.

Further, you would also face an account suspension if you entice your customers to give money or information by setting up a fictitious business that does not even have the advertised products or services.

Do not indulge in the false advertisement of health services which could result in a delay to the patient requiring the medical help and put his life, health, or safety in danger.

  • Using “phishing techniques” to get user information

Customer data is known as the new oil in the digital economy. Phishing is a form of digital attack where scammers steal users’ sensitive data by mimicking a legitimate person or institution.

Many websites trick users by pretending themselves as the trusted source and get their personal information. Google would taken an action on your account if you use phishing techniques to gather sensitive data of your customers!!

Always display the full expense and appropriate payment model which the user will bear. Do not exclude shipping costs, interest rates, and other related costs from the customer’s bill as it could get you a ban on your ad account.

Avoid inflating the prices of products or services from the quoted amount. Further, it is prohibited to advertise any product or service as free when the user is required to pay for it. In all these situations, your ad account would be suspended if Google finds you putting customers in vulnerable situations with these dishonest pricing practices.

Note– Always adopt honest practices while dealing with the customers, as undesirable practices would not only get you an account suspension but also reduce customer’s trust in your products and services!
