Evasive Ad Content Google Ads Suspended

Google is known for creating a healthy advertising environment for its users through strict review processes and policies.

This is why advertisers are not allowed to display ads that try to deceive or circumvent Google’s review process. Any violation of their advertising policy can cost you an account suspension and pose a significant loss to your brand campaign.

This is why it is important to know what is meant by appropriate content in your ads. We’ll also discuss the Account suspension due to the Evasive Ad Content Policy!

What is Evasive ad content?

Google does not tolerate the manipulation of ad content made by the advertisers for evading the review process or enforcement action. This manipulation can be done in any ad component, i.e. domains, image, text, video, etc.

How do advertisers try to evade detection by manipulating their content?

Misspelled words

Dishonest advertisers try to bring about manipulation in their ad content by misspelling prohibited words for getting their ad approved in the review process. Earlier the policy guidelines related to text manipulation were enforced under the “Circumventing Systems” policy.

Using Trademarked terms

Google does not allow the use of trademarked terms in your ad text, logo, domain, and sub-domain. Interestingly, Google has extended the prohibition of using manipulated trademarks to domains, subdomains, and logos from May 4th, 2021 onwards. Therefore, never try to alter trademarked terms in your ad component to avoid disapproval as you could get an account suspension if your content is found to be evading the review process.

Avoid invisible UNICODE characters

Similarly, do not use invisible UNICODE characters while making your ad content if these characters do not provide any value to your advertisement. This restriction of UNICODE characters is also part of the recent extension of the Evasive ad content policy of Google. Keep abreast yourself with these policy-violating contents to have a hassle-free experience on this online marketing digital platform.

Don’t hide policy-violating content

Further, if you try to hide policy-violating content in your images and videos through manipulation, you might get liable for violating the Evasive ad content policy. So have safe, attractive, and policy-abiding content in your ad, which would allow you to comply with the ad policy of Google and prevent evasive ad content account suspension.

Can violation of Evasive ad content policy lead to immediate account suspension?

Your account is not immediately suspended if you violate the Evasive ad content policy. You would receive a prior warning if your content is found to be violating this policy. A minimum of 7 days would be given to you in form of a warning before the suspension of our account.

How to fix suspension due to Evasive ad content policy violation?

You can fix your ad with policy violations by requesting its review from your ad account. Google would allow running your ad if your ad is found to be compliant with policy. Further, if you believe that Google has made an error while reviewing your ad, you can also request an appeal from your ad account.

Note: Make sure you follow the guidelines related to the evasive content account suspension on Google and ensure a healthy digital environment for your customers!
